Apple Valley Paso Finos
We are thankful for our family’s good health, sense of values, and spirituality. We are thankful for a beautiful country that is democratic, free, and touched by God. We are blessed with “the very things that touch our core”, you, the sunset out the west window, the birds at the feeders, our friends. By inventorying our blessings, it keeps us focused on the positives in our lives. It helps us see the great things we have and do, and puts our frustrations and worries into perspective. We set our sites and as we reach the top of one mountain, lo and behold! There’s another mountain to climb!
It’s easy to be discouraged, but to look back; we can acknowledge our growth and progress. We've made daily progress, even yearly, life long progress; and we are thankful for the experiences along the way, because without them, we wouldn't be where or who we are.
We have to do more than be thankful once a year; we have to garden the thankfulness, we have to nurture, care for and keep in touch, celebrate special times together.
Goodness, you would think we were worlds apart, and maybe we are. We are generations apart and each of us is on the cusp of a new pathway. Our pathways as are our blood, intertwined as one, as a “family tree”. Each day is a gift to use as we see fit, hopefully at the end of the day we will not be disappointed with how we spent it.
We all get so tangled up in today’s rat race that we forget about family. After all family will always be there, right? We will always have time to get to know one another right?
