About Us

Why Paso Finos?
We selected the Paso Fino breed because of their personality, ease of riding, training, willingness to please, and desire to be around people. It is not just a business, but a passion and a respect for the horse.

Apple Valley has had many diverse facets over the last 22 years. The Paso Fino horse came into our lives in 1987 with two magnificent fillies that taught us to ride and shared with us the uniqueness of the Paso Fino. They provided us with hours of contemplation and renewal of energies, taking us where we never would have gone on foot; as well as helping introduce us to new friends , a new community of horse lovers. With this new found interest, we became addicted to the soft eyes, gentle loving natures of the Pasos and the dynamic brilliant action under saddle. We have become a family of riders down to the two-year old grandchild (now 23).

Our farm grew from our first two horses to a current population of thirty. It must have something to do with the two remarkable stallions that live here. We are a breeding farm, raising special horses for special people. Whether for trail or show, and companions, they take mere mortals on wings.

Our horses are members of our family, we want them to go to the right homes and we work hard to find the best combinations. Our horses are grounded from birth, taught manners, respect, and receive appropriate health care. In other words, they see people every day, they are handled, and we are always on the upward swing of learning, including us and our horses.

The McFadden name is recognized as honest, individuals who are known for their effort with the High Plains Region and the Paso Fino Horse Association as well as their fairness and goal to match the right horse with the right rider.
